Chief Nursing Officer
The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) assumes full time administrative authority, responsibility and accountability of the delivery of nursing services for South Big Horn County Hospital and Bonnie Bluejacket Nursing Home. Manages employees in the provision of care and services according to professional standards of nursing practice, consistent with facility policy of care and state and federal laws and regulations. Develops and implements policies and procedures consistent with current law. Functions as the Director of Nursing and MDS coordinator in the Nursing Home. In collaboration with Administrator, allocates department resources in an efficient and economic manner to enable each resident/patient to attain or maintain the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well being. Collaborates with other departments, professionals, consultants, and organizations, including government agencies and advocacy groups, to develop support and coordination of resident/patient care, related administrative functions and to represent the interests of the facilities.


Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelors� Degree required, Masters� Degree preferred.

Licensure: Current, active license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wyoming.

Work Experience: Five years professional nursing experience in the long term care and acute care setting. Experience as MDS coordinator preferred. One-year experience in nursing service administration or comparable management experience preferred.
